Astronomers have found one of the most promising indications that there could be extraterrestrial life on another planet. According to research led by the University of Cambridge, the team detected traces of dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and dimethyl disulfide (DMDS) in the planet’s atmosphere. However, they also emphasize that the data represent the strongest evidence to date for possible life on a planet other than our own.
