That said, it's likely assembled in other parts of the world. So far, Bell hasn't shared the phone's manufacturer.

The phone is now available for $270 outright or $1 per month at Bell or Virgin Plus (for a limited time) — a steal compared to $1,161 or $32 per month for the iPhone 16. You can also buy it through various Canadian retailers, but this deal price appears to be locked to Bell/Virgin's network.

The new smartphone is aimed at "value-conscious users" with a far cheaper price tag than competitors.

Here are some of its specs and features:

6.58" FHD+ display

50MP quad camera

5,000 mAh battery

5G connectivity

Fingerprint scanner

Android 14 OS

USB-C connectivity (cable included)

24-month warranty

The phone will be available through Bell and its Virgin Plus flanker brand, as well as the following retailers:

Best Buy Express

The Mobile Shop

Staples

Tbooth wireless

Visions Electronics

Wireless Kiosk @Costco

WirelessWave
