Changes are coming to downtown Toronto's most popular park

<img class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual" src="https://display.blogto.com/articles/20250417-trinity-bellwoods-park.jpg?w=1200&amp;cmd=resize_then_crop&amp;height=630&amp;quality=70&amp;format=jpeg" width="100%" /><p>It's pretty difficult as a Toronto local to walk through Trinity Bellwoods Park on any given sunny summer day without <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2019/06/trinity-bellwoods-getting-way-too-crowded/">literally stumbling over </a>someone you know.</p><p>Once the warm weather comes around, the downtown green space serves&nbsp;as one of, if not&nbsp;<em>the&nbsp;</em>most popular in the city for&nbsp;everything from dog-watching and <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2024/04/toronto-parks-drinking-permanently-allowed/">beer-drinking</a>&nbsp;to slacklining and farmer's markets, from games of softball and Spikeball to <a href="https://www.blogto.com/eat_drink/2023/04/eating-drinking-parks-toronto/">birthday picnics</a> and drum circles &mdash; really, any&nbsp;type of outdoor hangout you can think of.</p><p>But, this may be the last summer that we experience the park as it currently is, as the City is gearing up to make some changes to the expanse bordered by Dundas, Queen, Crawford and Gore Vale Ave. (for the better,&nbsp;of course).</p><p>Notices have now&nbsp;been posted around the neighbourhood asking residents to participate in the new&nbsp;<a href="https://www.toronto.ca/city-government/planning-development/construction-new-facilities/park-facility-projects/trinity-bellwoods-park-access-circulation-study/">Trinity Bellwoods Park Access &amp; Circulation Study</a>, which will help inform upcoming&nbsp;renovations of&nbsp;the 14.6-hectare property.</p><p>Of particular concern to the City is the park's pathways and entrances, along with its overall "functionality, connectivity and accessibility."</p><p>To provide&nbsp;input,&nbsp;people&nbsp;are&nbsp;invited to utilize a special <a href="https://cityoftoronto.mysocialpinpoint.ca/trinity-bellwoods-park-study">interactive mapping app</a>&nbsp;through the City's website (also available via QR codes on posted signage)&nbsp;to detail&nbsp;what they like about the park now, along with&nbsp;what they think could improve, and how.</p><p>You <a href="https://ca.mar.medallia.com/?e=431960&amp;d=l&amp;h=AFB74614C78E5A5&amp;l=en">can also apply online</a> to become a member of the study's community advisory committee and have even more involvement with the project.</p><p>The portal will remain open until May 2, 2025, with public engagement about the project to continue through to the end of the year. A full report detailing how work&nbsp;should proceed, based largely on the feedback, will be ready in early 2026, with construction to kick off after that.</p>
