<img class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual" src="https://display.blogto.com/articles/20250422-demar-derozan-fight-video.jpg?w=1200&amp;cmd=resize_then_crop&amp;height=630&amp;quality=70&amp;format=jpeg" width="100%" /><p>It sounds like a fan got a little too close for comfort with DeMar DeRozan.</p><p>The Compton-born NBA star was reportedly <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/04/19/demar-derozan-fight-sushi-restaurant-los-angeles/">involved in a physical altercation</a> at a sushi restaurant in Calabasas, California &mdash; a suburb of Los Angeles.</p><p>Video shows DeRozan get into a physical altercation with another man, with a woman yelling "let him go," before they were separated.</p><p>TMZ is reporting that the fight started after the unidentified man "shoved a phone with a bright light" in DeRozan's face. DeRozan played three seasons with the Spurs before moving on and finding success with in three seasons with the Chicago Bulls.</p><p>Now 35 and in the twilight of his NBA career, DeRozan played last season with the Sacramento Kings. The Kings were eliminated last week after losing a play-in game to the Dallas Mavericks.</p>
