<img class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual" src="https://display.blogto.com/articles/20240422-HighParkCherryBlossoms-32.jpg?w=1200&amp;cmd=resize_then_crop&amp;height=630&amp;quality=70&amp;format=jpeg" width="100%" /><p>Cherry blossoms across Toronto could begin their 2025 bloom within the coming week as warmer temperatures and sunny days finally appear here to stay.</p><p>After a<a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2025/03/first-months-spring-weather-forecast-ontario-2025/"> clunky start to spring</a>, with snowstorms surprising Toronto residents well into March and <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2025/03/spring-storm-freezing-rain-winter-chill-ontario-weekend/">cold snaps</a>&nbsp;stalling the growth of plant life in the city, the warmer weather appears to&nbsp;truly be here to stay. Finally.</p><p>For many in the city, that means populating your social calendar with open-air concerts and patio cocktail plans, but it also marks the return of one of Toronto's most spectacular natural sights: the annual cherry blossom bloom at High Park.</p><p>While it can be tricky to time your trips out just right so that you catch the blossoms in peak form, Toronto's resident cherry blossom expert, Sakura Steve, has his finger on the pulse, keeping sakura enthusiasts informed with comprehensive updates on their development.</p><p>According to his latest observations, the bloom may just be upon us sooner rather than later.</p><p>After chilly weather earlier in the month pumped the brakes on the blooms' development, progress appears to be back on track for a full bloom landing in late April or early May.</p><p>In his<a href="https://www.sakurainhighpark.com/blog/2025/4/18/sakura-watch-april-18-2025"> latest update</a>, posted on April 18, Steve observes that the buds in much of the park have progressed into Stage 3, meaning that the florets have begun to show.&nbsp;</p><p>"With double-digit days forecast for the next week or so, they should continue to progress and develop into Stage 4 over the next couple of weeks," he writes.</p><p>He concludes, based on the winter we experienced, coupled with this&nbsp;spring's relatively chilly temperature trends, that High Park's cherry blossoms could be blooming anywhere between April 29 and May 9 for 2025.</p><p>High Park <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2016/05/5_places_to_find_cherry_blossoms_in_toronto_beyond_high_park/">isn't the only place</a> in the city where you can see the baby pink spectacle this spring, though.</p><p>Trinity Bellwoods, Centennial Park, Robarts Library at U of T, Broadacres Park and Toronto Island Park all also have their own Sakura trees, many of which typically bloom a touch earlier than their High Park cousins.</p><p>Last year, for example, the Robarts Library trees led the pack with a <a href="https://x.com/blogTO/status/1779948910049374640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1779948910049374640%7Ctwgr%5Ef0c553a91fbf624c08f97d47f52cc64955b07262%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogto.com%2Fcity%2F2016%2F05%2F5_places_to_find_cherry_blossoms_in_toronto_beyond_high_park%2F">full bloom on April 15</a>, followed by Trinity Bellwoods <a href="https://x.com/blogTO/status/1780291796741791819?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1780291796741791819%7Ctwgr%5Ef0c553a91fbf624c08f97d47f52cc64955b07262%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.blogto.com%2Fcity%2F2016%2F05%2F5_places_to_find_cherry_blossoms_in_toronto_beyond_high_park%2F">on April 16</a>, and High Park a <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2024/04/cherry-blossom-high-park-toronto/">few days later</a> on April 19.</p><p>All of this to say, if you're hoping to see the fleeting, breathtaking cherry blossom season in Toronto with your own eyes, you'll want to keep your finger on the pulse.
