Here are the 'most valuable brands' in Canada in 2025

<img class="webfeedsFeaturedVisual" src="https://display.blogto.com/articles/20250424-canadian-brands-0.jpg?w=1200&cmd=resize_then_crop&height=630&quality=70&format=jpeg" width="100%" /><p>As the <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2025/03/canada-and-us-officially-trade-war-tariffs-take-effect/">trade war</a> between the United States and Canada continues, you may be searching for <a href="https://www.blogto.com/city/2025/02/made-canada-brands-support-trump-tariffs/">Canadian brands to support</a>.</p><p>On Thursday, Brand Finance, a brand valuation consultancy, revealed its annual <a href="https://brandirectory.com/reports/canada" rel="noopener" target="_blank">ranking of Canada's top 100 most valuable brands</a>, a helpful list for all things Canadian-made.</p><p>Laurence Newell, managing director of Brand Finance Americas, acknowledged the current political and economic uncertainty affecting these companies.</p><p>"This year's results reflect a more cautious outlook for Canadian brands, with total brand value down amid rising political and economic uncertainty," he explained in a statement.</p><p>"However, even in a challenging environment, many brands are distinguishing themselves through stronger perceptions and strategic positioning. As risks mount, brand strength remains a key differentiator, helping businesses build trust, drive preference, and maintain long-term brand value."</p><p>Topping the ranking is TD, which remains the most valuable brand in the country for the third consecutive year, valued at $23.4 billion.</p><p>There are several financial institutions on the list.</p><p>RBC follows closely behind TD, valued at $22.4 billion. The report highlights RBC’s acquisition of HSBC Bank Canada, which integrated nearly 800,000 clients and expanded its commercial banking capabilities, resulting in a boost in earnings.</p><p>Scotiabank, BMO, and CIBC also made the top 10.</p><p>Circle K nabbed the third spot on the ranking, with its brand value up 11 per cent to $17.2 billion. The report says the convenience store climbed two spots from last year, with its growth supported by its continued expansion, particularly across the U.S. and Europe.</p><p>Other notable Canadian brands on the list include Tim Hortons in 11th place and telecom giants like Bell and Rogers, in 12th and 13th place, respectively.</p><p><a href="https://www.blogto.com/fashion_style/2025/04/canadian-retail-giant-denies-rumours-cheap-suppliers-china/">Lululemon</a> is the only clothing brand that made the list as the 15th most valuable in the country.</p><p>Major grocers like Loblaws, Shoppers Drug Mart, Real Canadian Superstore, and Metro all ranked in the 30s.</p><p><img alt="top canadian brands" id="content-image-116552" src="https://display.blogto.com/uploads/2025/04/24/1745516018-20250324-canadian-brands.jpg?w=1400&cmd=resize&quality=70&format=jpeg" style="width: 1400px; height: 1365px;" /></p><p class="caption">Brand Finance</p><p>Brand Finance also evaluated the strongest brands in Canada in 2025.</p><p>Canadian whisky Crown Royal was named the strongest brand in Canada, achieving a score of 90.7 out of 100, an increase of 23 points from last year.</p><p>"The brand received perfect 10 scores in key perception metrics, including price acceptance, preference, and reputation," reads the report.</p><p>Dollarama follows closely behind in second place with a score of 86.6. The report credits high perception scores across familiarity, likeability, consideration, and recommendation, supported by the brand’s continued store expansion and market presence.</p><p>In third place is A&W, with a score of 84.5. Brand Finance attributes its strong position to its "exceptionally high familiarity among Canadian consumers."</p>
