Monthly Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) payments are going out to Ontario residents this week, and you might want to keep an eye on your bank account. The OTB is a tax-free blend of three payments: the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit, the Northern Ontario Energy Credit, and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit. The Northern Ontario Energy Credit allows singles to receive a maximum of $180 and families to receive a maximum of $277. The credit doesn't impact your GST/HST credit payments. Canada Pension Plan (CPP) payments and Old Age Security (OAS) pension payments will drop on May 28, and Veteran Disability Pension deposits will hit May 29.
