The first US hub for experimental medical treatments is coming

These longevity enthusiasts are hoping Montana will serve as a test bed for opening up access to experimental drugs. Some in the longevity field believe that regulation has held back the development of such drugs. In the US, federal law requires that drugs be shown to be both safe and effective before they can be sold. Typically, new drugs are put through a series of human trials. Phase I trials generally involve between 20 and 100 volunteers and are designed to check that the drug is safe for humans.
