Canadian comedy giant Mike Myers got his elbows up when asked for his opinion on Trump's tariffs on films made outside the United States. If there's anyone who knows about the power of the Canadian film and entertainment industry, it's beloved Scarborough export Mike Myers. That's why, when U.S. President Donald Trump announced a vague 100 per cent tariff on any films produced outside of the United States, Myers had some choice words to share. "This tariff situation is just a fiasco," Myers told blogTO on the red carpet for Gilda's Club Toronto's Open Mike fundraiser event on Monday evening, alongside fellow Canadian comedy icon, Colin Mochrie. As of publication, the U.S. president has not moved forward on actually enacting the proposed production tariffs, which have the potential to decimate Toronto's vibrant film industry entirely.
