While the Toronto Maple Leafs might've soured the mood of much of the city's sports fans for their performance on Wednesday night, the Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to bring back a little bit of light. On Thursday, the Blue Jays decided that it's finally time for one of the organization's most-anticipated days: the first day of the year that the Rogers Centre roof will be open. The Jays were seen testing the stadium's retractable roof late last month, though it took a few weeks for their plans to get underway. The Blue Jays themselves also posted a time-lapse video of the roof opening, which takes about 20 minutes in real time. The Blue Jays are currently sitting at exactly .500 on the year, going 21-21 through 42 games.
