The 36-year-old was not present at Southwark Crown Court, where the judge said he must pay a £5m security fee to the court. Mr Brown could be asked to forfeit the money if he breaches bail conditions. He had been held in custody since being arrested in Salford last Thursday, and was initially refused bail on Friday. But bail was granted on Wednesday, on the condition that he pay £4m immediately, with a further £1m due in seven days.
