Most parents in Canada say they won't be able to leave their kids an inheritance as they grapple with the rising cost of living. It seems that the impact of high living costs will be felt by future generations. "Eighty per cent of Canadian parents say the rising cost of living is the biggest risk to their leaving an inheritance," reads the study. “We’re seeing a quiet collision of assumptions,” said Kelley Keehn, CEO of Money Wise Institute. "We often say inheritance isn’t just about money — it's about meaning," he said.
