The city has virtually seen it all, but few events can match the surreal chaos of Aug. 29, 1998, when nu-metal pioneers Korn rolled down Yonge Street in a military-style tank.
For Korn, the answer was a full-blown campaign tour to promote their third album, Follow the Leader.
During their tour, Korn showed up in Toronto in an actual military-style vehicle down Yonge Street, flanked by a sea of frenzied fans and curious onlookers.
— we rushed outside to see Korn, in a TANK, going down the busiest street in Toronto with a horde of fans following!
Later that year, the band was back in the GTA to perform at Arrow Hall in Mississauga as part of their 1998 tour.
