Construction is set to impact a small Liberty Village park for the next year and a half, as part of Metrolinx's ongoing work on the forthcoming Ontario Line.
The current phase of work includes the excavation of soil and bedrock to reach the depths of the future Ontario Line tunnels.
Along with this, a retaining wall will be built to support the slopes in the future park.
For the duration of these works, a tower crane will remain on site and will be used to raise and lower construction materials into the shaft.
The under-construction Ontario Line is set to bring 15 new stations to Toronto along a 15.6-kilometre subway line running from Exhibition Place, through the downtown core, all the way to the Eglinton Crosstown LRT at Don Mills Road.
