They are all getting annoyed at “bad genAI criticism” while failing to engage with — and often failing to even mention — most of the actual substance of any serious genAI criticism.
The aesthetic quality of genAI writing, visual design, animation and so on, while mostly atrocious, is also highly variable.
Even if you don’t think he is a particularly bad guy, maybe he won’t even create the privacy nightmare on purpose.
The FatigueI have provided references to numerous articles outlining rhetorical and sometimes data-driven cases for the existence of certain properties and consequences of genAI tools.
And I really don’t like shitting on other people’s earnest efforts, so I try not to dismiss whole fields.
