If you're one of the eager fans who managed to nab tickets to one of the first spate of concerts taking place at Toronto's brand new Rogers Stadium, you can now look forward to also receiving a free ride home from the venue on public transit. While revealing the newly completed, 50,000-person outdoor venue on Thursday, officials announced that all TTC and GO rides from the YZD (formerly Downsview Airport) property will be free of charge for the season. It was also made with the facility's limited on-site parking and Live Nation's sustainability goals in mind. The project — which is the city's biggest purpose-built music venue, as well as our largest outdoor stage — was constructed remarkably expeditiously, coming to fruition in just nine months. K-pop group Stray Kids will headline Rogers Stadium's inaugural show this Sunday, June 29.
