An ice cream shop in Toronto is serving one of the most iconic flavours in the world, according to a new ranking. Toronto is home to no small number of cherished ice cream joints — including several that are new to the scene this summer — but, according to a new ranking by TasteAtlas, one spot in the city stands above the rest. Founded in 2000 by Ed Francis, the Beaches-based ice cream shop is the definition of a local legend and has since expanded across the city, with additional locations in Leslieville, Roncesvalles, and Mimico. While Ed's was the only ice cream shop in Toronto that made it on the ranking, a handful of other Canadian joints also got well-deserved recognition. It's a sweet summer to be a Canadian ice cream parlour, that's for sure.
