A vigilante war against Toronto automated speed enforcement (ASE) cameras saw two more of the devices chopped down over the weekend.
What started as a targeted campaign to take out Toronto's most notorious speed camera appears to have breached containment, as attacks on the contentious devices are no longer isolated to Parkside Drive or even the 416.
A dozen of the cameras were destroyed in Toronto alone last year, and the damage continues to spread.
Additional cameras were cut from their posts over the weekend at Avenue Road and Castlefield (pictured above) in midtown Toronto, as well as at Keele and Sheppard in North York.
One would be forgiven for assuming that these attacks on speed cameras are costing the City in taxpayer dollars.
