Another TTC subway closure this weekend will grind a portion of Toronto to a halt.
The transit agency plans to shut down an over 4.5-kilometre-long stretch of the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway for the entire weekend of Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, 2025.
All subway service will be suspended during this period, and passengers will instead be corralled onto shuttle buses to cover the gap in service.
In a press release, the TTC states that "while the TTC does most subway maintenance at the end of service each night, it continues to require weekend and early weeknight closures to complete state-of-good-repair work."
Regular subway service is expected to resume in time for the start of the morning rush on Monday, July 7.
