As part of its winter 2025/26 schedule out of Ontario, WestJet is officially welcoming Havana, Cuba, to its route map for the first time. Here in Toronto, WestJet will be boosting capacity from Pearson Airport by five per cent, led by two new sun routes (Havana and Samaná, Dominican Republic) as well as significant increases to existing destinations. Flights from Toronto to Havana will depart twice weekly starting Dec. 18, and flights to Samaná will depart once weekly starting Dec. 11. Known as one of the Caribbean's most culturally rich and stunning destinations, Cuba is known for its lively seaside towns, white-sand beaches, vintage American cars, and world-renowned rum and coffee. Along with its new service out of Toronto, WestJet is also set to connect Thunder Bay directly to Punta Cana, and Hamilton is also set to see increased service to the sunny destination.
