Hangar Jam is hitting YZD (the former Downsview Airport) from July 19 to 20, transforming the colossal airplane hangar into a high-energy playground for skateboarding, street art, music, and urban dance culture. There'll be youth skate workshops from Later Skate Gang, a Queer Skate Toronto contest, and an 18+ best trick showdown for those ready to battle it out. Hangar Jam is part of Northcrest's "Meanwhile Use" strategy, which uses creative, community-powered programming to reimagine underused industrial spaces like Downsview.
