Heavy rain kills two in New Jersey as subway and roads flooded in New York

At least two people were killed Monday evening in New Jersey amid heavy rain and flooding in that state and New York, according to authorities. Both deaths occurred as heavy rain swept across parts of the US north-east on Monday night, inundating communities and stranding vehicles in roadways.
