Subway closures this weekend will create more headaches for Toronto transit users, and here's everything you need to know about the next round of TTC disruptions.
The TTC has announced that it plans to suspend subway service on Line 1 Yonge-University between St. Clair West and St. Andrew stations for the entire weekend of Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20.
The near-constant weekend closures may be an annoyance for those who rely on Line 1, but nobody should be surprised by yet another weekend of planned outages.
At the start of 2025, the TTC announced that the subway network would face a ridiculous 38 overlapping full-weekend closures throughout the year.
The TTC states that regular subway service will resume on Monday, July 21.
