But Ghost never claimed to be some great literary work, and its fulfilled promise was very simple: It gave us Assassin’s Creed in Japan, years before the franchise would catch up and actually give the fans what they wanted.
Sucker PunchBy March 20 this year, Ubisoft finally caught up to what Sony had done — giving fans Assassin’s Creed Shadows, set in Japan with dual protagonists, but it already felt like the idea was dated.
It is what you think it is — a thinly disguised Assassin’s Creed set in Japan with no ties to that franchise’s epic lore.
