A Toronto summer night is about to be transformed into a breathtaking spectacle of light, music, and storytelling, and it's unlike anything the city has ever seen before. On Aug. 19, the Fort York National Historic Site will host The Origin of Light, billed as the city's first-ever cinematic drone show. Featuring hundreds of choreographed drones, a 15-piece live orchestra, and a live vocal performance by Filipina-Canadian artist Arlene Paculan, the show is brought to life by Illumin Drone Shows and Portal Nine Experiences. This 90-minute immersive concert promises to push the boundaries of live entertainment. Visual storytelling, light, sound, and history all collide in what organizers are calling a "modern myth told through the elements — sky, sound, and story."
