One Delisle's unconventional exterior was a vision from the acclaimed Chicago-based architecture firm Studio Gang, marking the team's first commission in Canada. With foundations and underground parking constructed by mid-2024, the project team was forced to wait out approval of above-grade construction permits. This inaction led to Globizen Group founder Brandon Donnelly penning a frustrated blog post calling out the City's permitting process. Donnelly's bold move proved effective, and permits were promptly issued last May, allowing work to resume after the short delay. One Delisle is anticipated to wrap up construction in 2026, bringing 371 condominium units to the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood upon completion.
