The Government of Canada has just issued a warning as a major typhoon is set to make landfall in the Philippines.
On July 23, Canada updated its travel advisory page for the Philippines due to "natural disasters and climate."
The Canadian government's travel advisory warns that the storm may cause flash flooding and landslides.
There's also a risk that it could "severely disrupt" transportation, electricity, water and food supply, telecommunications networks, emergency services, and medical care.
Canadians in affected areas should exercise caution, monitor local news and weather reports, and follow the instructions of local authorities.
