A Toronto office building that had stood abandoned for a decade and gained notoriety as a famed haunt for urban explorers has finally been torn down to make way for something new. The former six-storey office building at 3101 Bathurst Street had been boarded up since 2015 in anticipation of a long-discussed redevelopment, and finally came down in recent weeks. Known as Vivant at Bedford Park, the new project from developer Medallion Corporation began site clearing operations this past spring with the demolition of the long-abandoned office building. This is another step forward in our bold, ambitious plan to build more homes," he said. The building is expected to add 159 new rental units to the area by fall 2027.
