A Vancouver-based chain that's a local staple for its Japanese cuisine is finally about to open its first Toronto location. It's been said before that you haven't truly lived until you've tasted a perfect pork katsu. On the other side of the country, in Vancouver, few restaurants are as well-known for their katsu as Saku, a chain that currently boasts five locations across B.C., serving up katsu, katsu and more katsu. Since 2018, the chain has been on a seemingly unstoppable expansion path, but it's always been limited to B.C. This August, Saku is set to open its first-ever Toronto location in the heart of downtown, just steps away from Sankofa Square at 22 Edward St.
