Two people are dead and six were injured in a mass shooting tied to what was billed as an afterparty for an EDM music festival, which took place in downtown Los Angeles this weekend. Officers arrived on the scene after receiving calls of shots being fired. Notably, a few hours before the shooting, police were called to the same block to shut down a party after receiving reports that someone had a gun. While the party was promoted on social media as a Hard Summer afterparty, a rep for for the festival confirmed it had “zero affiliation” with Hard Summer.
