Niagara Falls is ready for some more buzz as the much-awaited Niagara Takes Flight — an immersive, "flying theatre" experience which takes riders through the Niagara River corridor — will finally open to the public on August 29. Imagine being in a vast, dark room, buckled into motion-based seating, and soaring through the surreal views of Niagara Falls, all showcased on a massive domed screen measuring 17 metres wide. Others are making direct comparisons between Niagara Takes Flight and Disney's similar flying ride Soarin': "Excited to try this — love Soarin' at Disney." And some are amped up about the fully immersive experience that the ride will be: "Wind and mist and scents included? Niagara Takes Flight promises a thrilling encounter, complete with dangling feet, wind in your hair, breathtaking inclines, and daring dips — all paired with history lessons throughout the ride that take guests back to battles that shaped the nation's past.
