The car manufacturer is recalling 60,221 Ford light trucks, vans and SUVs over brake issues that it says could lead to an increased risk of a crash. "Under certain conditions, a software problem could cause the electronic brake booster motor to shut down. Not only could these malfunctioning driver assistance systems increase the risk of a crash, but so could the brake software issues. "A sudden increase in brake pedal force can cause extended stopping distances and increase the risk of a crash," explained Transport Canada. "Alternatively, you may schedule an appointment to have the update performed at a Ford dealership," reads the notice.
