There’s never been another game like StarCraft 2, and there likely never will be — but boy, Stormgate is the closest we’ve been. There are still some rough edges, but Stormgate scratches a strategy itch I haven’t been able to satisfy in years. Frost Giant already has a lengthy roadmap for Stormgate, including a campaign focused on The Infernal Host. There are clear flaws, but Frost Giant is clearly passionate and committed to the idea of creating a modern RTS.
