While these skills don't exist, there are a series of ways to know what your boss really thinks of you, even if you're not a mind reader. How much does your boss ask for your opinion? Does your boss ask you to take the lead on new or exciting opportunities? Does your boss ask you to do more complex or challenging things than what you've been doing? If you can't answer these questions in a positive way, it's probably time you either directly ask your boss where you stand or find a new boss.
