The latest addition to China’s Tiangong space station is an AI chatbot with expertise in navigation and tactical planning.
Information about Wukong AI remains limited.
Wukong is neither the first AI system in space nor the first on a station.
The International Space Station already has Astrobee, a robot that assists astronauts with routine tasks, and CIMON, a conversational psychological support system.
The particularity of Wukong AI is that it combines the functions of an intelligent assistant—like those used on Earth—with a total focus on space navigation.
