Singer-songwriter Rachel Platten is re-recording several of her biggest hits, including her 2015 smash “Fight Song,” in an effort to reclaim control of her music like Taylor Swift.
In a post on Instagram Monday, Platten said she’ll drop her new album Fight Song (Rachel’s Version) on Sept. 26.
As Platten noted, the re-record project lines up with the 10th anniversary of “Fight Song,” which peaked at Number Six on the Billboard Hot 100 (and later became a campaign song for Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential run).
Platten followed up Wildfire in 2017 with her fourth album, Waves.
Only recently she did release a new record, I Am Rachel Platten, which came out in September 2024.
