Conan Gray and Tate McRae will make their main stage debuts at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards when the show airs live Sept. 7 on CBS from the UBS Arena in New York. McRae’s choreography-forward performance style is what the VMAs are all about, or used to be, at least. Doja Cat’s return comes as she launches into her upcoming fifth studio album, Vie, out Sept. 26. The VMAs will mark the first live performance of the song and her first appearance on the show since 2023. 2025 MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award recipient Mariah Carey will also perform.
