Break out the antacids, because Toronto Blue Jays fans just broke their Loonie Dogs Night hot dog consumption record, gobbling enough glizzies to stretch almost 14 kilometres if (for some inexplicable reason) the hot dogs were lined up end-to-end. Jays fans wolfed down a staggering 92,221 hot dogs on Tuesday night, absolutely shattering the previous record of 84,731 downed dogs established in July. With over 42K people in attendance on Tuesday night, the final record-breaking tally translates to a relatively attainable 2.183 hot dogs per fan. Record breaking Loonie Dog night! The Toronto Blue Jays will have two more opportunities to break the already impressive record this year, with Loonie Dogs Night promotions planned for Sept. 9 vs. the Houston Astros and Sept. 23 vs. the Boston Red Sox.
