TTC subway closures this weekend will cut off access to the westernmost stations on the TTC's Line 2 Bloor-Danforth on Saturday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 7.
Weekend closures have become something of a theme on the TTC in 2025 as the transit agency aggressively attacks its work backlog, requiring frequent weekend and early weeknight closures to complete state-of-good-repair work.
In early 2025, the transit agency announced that it would require a staggering 38 full-weekend closures this year alone.
Despite the lack of subway service, the TTC has informed passengers that they will still be able to access Kipling and Islington stations to purchase or load fare cards and connect to surface routes.
Regular subway service will resume in time for the start of the morning rush on Monday, September 8, at 6 a.m.
