Family-owned Canadian success story Simons is continuing its domination of the department store sector, swooping in to fill the void left by the recent departure of Hudson's Bay, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom and others from the Toronto retail landscape.
Just weeks after debuting its first urban T.O.
outpost at Yorkdale Shopping Centre last month, the iconic Quebec-founded brand opened a three-level, 112,000-square-foot location — in yet another anchor space formerly held by Nordstrom— at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre on September 18.
This marks Simons' 19th location, with each geared to their respective cities, neighbourhoods and target clientele.
We got a first glimpse at the sleek new digs and the innovative shopping experience offered within, which includes interactive art (explorable through the company's "Walk of Frames" initiative), Toronto-centric design elements, and the wide variety of housewares, clothing and accessories, both from Simons house labels and the designer brands that the retailer is known for.
