A group of five longtime friends from Oakville recently turned an out-of-the-blue idea into a viral Ontario adventure, walking 46 kilometres from Oakville Town Square to the CN Tower — all in just 12 hours. "We've always seen the CN Tower from the lake we go to and thought that it would be funny to walk all the way there. That casual idea finally became reality when the group found themselves with time to spare before school started up again. Their Oakville-to-Toronto trek wasn't their first endurance walk — the group recently walked the entire 38-kilometre span of the Line 2 Bloor-Danforth subway in Toronto. But aside from refueling, the friends took every opportunity to explore and learn about their surroundings along the way.
