Toronto's Textile Museum of Canada is gearing up to reopen this fall after suddenly closing its doors to the public in February 2025, citing funding struggles in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic as the primary reason behind the difficult decision.
Museum staff turned to the public to help raise $150,000 by July 31, and Toronto delivered.
The fundraiser met its goal, ultimately allowing the Textile Museum of Canada to prepare for its reopening in October.
It's welcome news after what seemed like the potential end of the Textile Museum just a few months earlier.
The Textile Museum of Canada will reopen to the public on October 30 and is located at 55 Centre Avenue.
