People in Toronto can safely say the city has some of the best bars on earth, as one of them just ranked among the world's best. The first (or, last, if you want to get technical) fleet of bars to make it on the 2025 World's 50 Best Bars list has officially dropped, and one very deserving Toronto bar made it on the list. The annual list ranks the top 100 bars in cities across the world based on scores from a panel of hundreds of bartenders, experts and writers. Back on the list for its second year running, Little Italy's Bar Pompette has scored itself an impressive 55th place finish, up from its spot in 70th place in 2024. Not only that, but it was the only bar in Canada to make it on the list, full stop.
