Two of Toronto's biggest indie markets are teaming up for a massive fall takeover inside a 7,000 square-foot abandoned retail space on Queen Street West. Toronto Hippie Market and The Welcome Market — both touting themselves as "the biggest market" of their kind — are bringing their second collaborative event to the former Anthropologie flagship location, which was shuttered earlier this year. The event will transform the vacant two-storey space into a buzzing pop-up marketplace for an entire weekend later this month. The market features over 50 local businesses setting up shop for customers all weekend long, offering everything from designer goods and handcrafted items to rare, finest vintage finds. The pop-up market takes place on Oct. 18 and 19, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, at the former Anthropologie flagship store located at 761 Queen St. W.
