Toronto is gearing up for a huge celebration as Diwali - Festival of Lights returns to the city, complete with ethnic bites, a diverse lineup of vendors and artists, and, of course, an enormous fireworks display.
Street food vendors, such as Toronto Tikki Co. and Uncle Omelet, as well as fusion food vendors like Fukrey Indian Bistro and Streetside Munchies, will set up shop at this two-day festival.
And for the unversed, a Diwali celebration is incomplete without a grandiose display of fireworks, and this year, a massive fireworks and laser light show is in the works.
Diwali - Festival of Lights, which bills itself as the "biggest Diwali festival in the GTA," will take place on Oct. 11 and 12, from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. each day, at Nathan Phillips Square, and is free to attend.
Nathan Phillips Square is located at 100 Queen St. W.
