Parts of Ontario are about to be walloped by 15 cm of snow

Parts of Ontario will be hit with the first major snowfall of the season on Friday, with forecasts predicting 15 cm in the province's northern regions. A vast swath of the province, including Timmins, Cochrane, and Kapuskasing, has been placed under a snowfall warning by Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), with the government weather agency warning of "Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm." Weather Alerts for Ontario - Snowfall with total amounts of about 15 cm is expected. Southern Ontario will get off relatively easy in comparison on Friday, with rain and temperatures maxing out at 11 degrees C in Toronto. ECCC predicts temperatures to slide to -1 C in Toronto overnight Saturday, with a 30 per cent chance of rain showers or flurries.
