Monthly Ontario Trillium Benefit (OTB) payments are scheduled to be distributed to Ontario residents next week. Eligible Ontario residents who are registered to receive the payment can expect to see the deposit in their bank account on Monday, Nov. 10. The OTB is a tax-free combination of three payments: the Ontario Energy and Property Tax Credit, the Northern Ontario Energy Credit, and the Ontario Sales Tax Credit. The Northern Ontario Energy Credit is designed to assist low- to moderate-income residents with higher energy costs associated with living in the north. Ontario residents can also expect Canada Disability Benefit and Canada Child Benefit payments on Nov. 20.
