CEOWORLD magazine — a business magazine and news site for CEOs, CFOs, and other high-net-worth individuals — recently released its ranking of the world's richest cities for 2025. "These 300 metropolitan titans… represent the beating heart of global commerce, accounting for a substantial share of worldwide GDP," reads the report. "The richest cities are magnets for human capital—entrepreneurs, financiers, creators, and policymakers who define the tempo of global progress," it reads. This echoes the 2026 World's Best Cities Report, which ranked Toronto in 17th place for its education and bustling start-up scene.
