The abrupt clearance swept out several long-standing businesses, including two budget-friendly grocers, namely Fruits Basket and Fresh Buy Market, as well as a neighbourhood sports bar. In a statement to blogTO, the grocer's owners confirmed that staff are in the thick of preparations for the store's reopening, from installing coolers to replacing doors. Knowing the neighbours need us, we are thrilled that we’ve found a location in the same area," Fresh Buy Market's owners said. "It means a lot to us opening here for 12 years and receiving so much love from the community." Although the store's team has confirmed they are actively preparing to open, they haven't set or announced an official opening date.
