The 25-year-old was acquired by the Blue Jays in a trade that saw Cavan Biggio head to the LA Dodgers partway through the 2024 season. However, that changed this past season, as Fisher was selected to the Blue Jays' 40-man roster in early May. Several members from the Blue Jays organization congratulated Fisher, including Paxton Schultz, who pitched 24.2 innings with the club in 2025. The Blue Jays are looking at potential free agents to bolster their bullpen in 2026, though Fisher is expected to remain thanks to his impressive breakout season.
